Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the Scan Me Up mobile application (the “App”), provided by Dmytro Mayevsky (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information when you use the App on your iPhone or iPad. We have designed Scan Me Up to be a privacy-respecting tool: your scans are processed and stored on your device, and we do not operate any backend servers that receive your documents.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Scan Me Up does not collect, transmit, or sell any of the following:

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is created and stored only on your device, in the App's private storage area, and is not transmitted to us:

You can delete this data at any time by deleting documents inside the App or by uninstalling the App from your device.

3. Camera and Photo Library Access

To scan documents, the App requests access to your device's camera. To import existing images or save exported files, the App may request access to your photo library or files. These permissions are used solely to perform the action you requested. Captured images are stored locally and are not transmitted to us or any third party by the App.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (“Unlock Full App”) that removes the free-tier document limit. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or billing address. We only receive aggregated, anonymized sales reports from Apple. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

5. Diagnostics Shared with Apple

If you have enabled “Share With App Developers” in your iOS settings, Apple may share crash logs and aggregated, anonymized diagnostic information with us through App Store Connect. This information cannot be used to identify you personally and is used solely to improve the stability and quality of the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not collect personal information from any user, no special collection practices apply.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app purchases. The App does not embed third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, social-network SDKs, or any other service that would transmit your personal information to a third party.

8. Data Security

Your scans and signatures are stored in the App's private container on your device, which is protected by iOS sandboxing and the device-level security features you have enabled (such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID). Because your data is not transmitted off your device by the App, it is not exposed to network-based risks from us.

9. Your Rights

Because the App does not collect personal information about you, we do not hold any personal data to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You retain full control of the data the App stores locally on your device and can delete it at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or the App's privacy practices, please contact us at mayevskydv@gmail.com.
